Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Stu app and the stu.tools website, both operated by Quickhatch. By using Stu, you agree to these terms.

License

Stu is licensed to you, not sold. Quickhatch grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

Purchases and payments

Stu is purchased through the Apple App Store. All billing, payment processing, and refunds are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Quickhatch has no ability to issue refunds directly.

Your data

You own the data you enter into Stu. All home profile data, maintenance tasks, and completion history are stored locally on your device. Quickhatch does not access, collect, or store your home data. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls in the app
  • Resell or sublicense the app to any third party

Intellectual property

Stu and all associated content, including the name, logo, design, and software, are owned by Quickhatch and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

Stu is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Quickhatch does not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Home maintenance guidance provided by the app is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quickhatch will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Stu, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Quickhatch's total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app.

Changes to these terms

Quickhatch may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.
