The dryer removes moisture from laundry using heat and airflow. Keeping lint clear from the vent duct and trap housing protects against fire and keeps the machine running efficiently.
Dryer Tasks
- Clean dryer vent duct
Disconnect the duct, vacuum lint from both ends with a flexible vent brush, and clear the exterior vent hood once a year.
- Deep clean dryer lint trap housing
Every three months, pull the lint screen and vacuum deep inside the housing with a narrow attachment or flexible dryer-vent brush.
