Ceiling Fans
Ceiling fans circulate air year-round, cooling rooms in summer and distributing heat in winter. Keeping them clean and properly set reduces strain on your HVAC system and prevents wobble from loose hardware.
Ceiling Fans Tasks
- Clean and service ceiling fans
Each spring, wipe fan blades with a damp cloth and tighten all blade and mounting screws.
- Set ceiling fans to spin clockwise
Each fall, flip the direction switch on your ceiling fan to clockwise so blades pull warm air up and push it down along the walls.
- Set ceiling fans to spin counter-clockwise
Each spring, flip the direction switch on your ceiling fan so blades spin counter-clockwise when viewed from below.
