Electrical

The electrical system distributes power to every circuit in the home and provides the fault protection that keeps that power from starting fires or delivering dangerous shocks. The panel, breakers, and GFCI outlets each play a distinct role, but they share a common requirement: periodic testing to confirm they still respond correctly when something goes wrong.

Neglect here is harder to see than a dripping faucet or a dead filter. A GFCI that tests fine visually may no longer trip on a fault. An AFCI breaker that looks intact may not interrupt an arc. Catching these failures on a routine schedule keeps the system doing what it was designed to do, before a failure finds a worse occasion to reveal itself.
