Microwave
The microwave heats food and, in over-the-range models, vents cooking vapors and odors. Keeping its filters clean protects air quality and reduces fire risk near the cooktop.
Microwave Tasks
- Clean microwave grease filter
Every three months, slide out the metal mesh filter(s), soak in hot soapy water or degreaser, scrub, rinse, dry, and reinstall.
- Replace microwave charcoal filter
Once a year, open the vent grille, slide out the old charcoal filter, and snap in a replacement that matches your microwave model.
